Simple Kalamata Olive Relish

This simple, easy to put together relish is not just for hot dogs. Use it on burgers, sandwiches, or crackers!

  • 1/2 cup pitted Kalamata olives
  • 1 tablespoon jarred nonpareil capers drained
  • 2 tablespoons shallots
  • 1/2 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 pinch Italian seasoning
  • 1 pinch red pepper flake


  • Pulse all of the ingredients in a food processor until well combined, but still slightly chunky. Be sure not to let it get too smooth; we aren't making tapenade!
  • Liberally top your hot dog with relish and whatever other toppings you prefer!
